What Paris Texas Shoes Are Made Of: Every Material Counted Across 316 Styles, From Suede to Mirror Leather

What are Paris Texas shoes made of? Luxury Handbags read the composition line on every one of the 316 styles in stock and counted: suede and patent calf are the two big families at 87 and 86 styles, plain calf leather is third at 46, and then come croc-embossed calf (24), python-print calf (22), nappa (15), mirror leather (12) and the brushed and vintage-finish leathers (11). None of it is exotic skin. This page explains each material as the brand names it, which shapes come in which, how it wears, and which to buy first; the counts are the live catalogue on 17 September 2026 and the care notes are summarised from the care guide.

Key facts

  • Materials across the 316 styles: suede 87, patent 86, calf leather 46, croc-embossed 24, python-print 22, nappa 15, mirror leather 12, brushed and vintage-finish 11, fur and shearling 5, velvet and satin 3, lizard-print 2, feather 2, haircalf 1.
  • Every upper is calf leather, nappa, suede, mirror-finished leather, textile, fur, shearling, feather, haircalf, patent calf, embossed calf, printed calf; the croc, python and lizard finishes are patterns embossed into and printed on cow hide.
  • Every style is made in Italy on a leather sole; 94 product pages name the pink Texas Rose leather sole and 121 the leather insole printed with the Paris Texas logo.
  • Materials repeat across shapes: the same shade of patent exists on the Lidia mule, slingback, pump and sandal, and the same suede on the Dallas, El Dorado, Anja and Bettina.
  • The material sets the price more than the heel does: a plain calf Lidia starts at $1,650, the mirror and python-print versions cost more, and fur and the embroidered Tucson top the range.

Suede and velour

Calf suede is the biggest family, 87 styles from $1,150 to $1,860, and it is the material the Texan boots are known in: the Dallas 100 in black suede, the El Dorado in Angora, the Anja 85. The brand also uses the word velour for a brushed calf suede on some boots, which Luxury Handbags lists as suede. It takes colour better than any other finish, which is why the house browns, Ebano, Cioccolato, Sigaro and Cuoio, and the pale Angora and Stone are mostly suede. It wants a protector spray before the first wear and a brush after each one; the suede boot guide covers every suede style.

Patent calf

Patent is the Lidia material, 86 styles from $1,150 to $2,020: the Lidia 105 mule in black patent, the slingback, the pumps, and a tortoise-print patent on a few. It is calf leather with a lacquered surface, so it wipes clean and does not scuff the way plain calf does, and it is the finish that photographs as the house intends. It does not stretch, which matters on a pointed toe: take the size the brand states and round up on a half size. The patent guide lists every colour.

Calf leather, nappa and the brushed finishes

Plain calf, 46 styles, is the boot leather: the El Dorado in calf, the Jane, the Bettina. Nappa is a softer, finer calf, used on 15 styles including the Stiletto 105 in nappa, and the stretch nappa on some Stiletto boots is what gives them their wider shaft. The brushed and vintage-finish leathers, 11 styles, are calf treated to look worn from the first day, on the Dakota, the Tucson and the Napa; they are meant to mark, and a mark is not a fault. A neutral cream now and then is all any of them need.

Croc-embossed, python-print and lizard-print calf

The brand’s composition line says “embossed croco”, “printed python” and “printed lizard”, and that is exactly what they are: a crocodile pattern pressed into calf (24 styles, $1,240 to $1,860), a python pattern printed on calf (22 styles) and a lizard pattern printed on calf. No exotic skin is used anywhere in the range. The embossed croc is the stiffest leather in the range and gives the Stiletto boot its structured shaft; the python-print on the Lidia is calf with a printed pattern and takes the same care as plain leather. The croc and python-print guide ranks them.

Mirror leather

Mirror leather is calf with a metallic, reflective finish, 12 styles in gold and silver, the Lidia 105 mule in gold and the mirror slingback among them, and one wine-coloured gradient on the Nina wedge. The finish scratches if it meets a rough surface, so it lives in its dust bag between wears and is wiped with a dry cloth. The metallic guide explains gold against silver.

Fur, shearling, feather, velvet, satin and haircalf

The winter styles add Mongolian lamb on the Stiletto in Mongolian fur, Kidassia goat fur on the Napa furry boot, and a shearling lining on the winter Bettina. Two feather styles put a crepe-feather trim on a mule, two velvet and one satin Lidia exist for evening, and one style uses printed haircalf. These are the styles to buy for the material itself, and the ones to keep in the box.

The sole and the insole

Every style is on a leather sole made in Italy, and on most of the range it is lacquered in the house pink the brand calls Texas Rose; the product page names it on 94 styles at Luxury Shoes . The insole is leather, printed with the Paris Texas logo on 121 of them. The pink sole scuffs on the first outing, which is normal, and a cobbler can add a thin rubber half-sole without touching the colour at the waist. The Napa is the one boot on a rubber sole. The authentication page explains why the sole and the insole are the first things to check on a pair bought elsewhere.

Frequently asked questions

What are Paris Texas shoes made of?

Calf leather in several finishes: suede (87 styles at Luxury Shoes ), patent (86), plain calf (46), croc-embossed (24), python-print (22), nappa (15) and mirror leather (12), plus a few fur, shearling, feather, velvet and satin styles. All on a leather sole, made in Italy.

Are Paris Texas croc boots real crocodile?

No. The composition line reads “embossed croco”: a crocodile pattern pressed into calf leather. The python and lizard styles are printed calf. The brand uses no exotic skins.

Is Paris Texas real leather?

Yes. Every upper is calf, nappa, suede, patent calf, embossed calf, printed calf, mirror-finished leather, fur, shearling, haircalf, feather, velvet and satin, and every sole is leather except the rubber-soled Napa.

What is the pink sole on Paris Texas shoes?

A leather sole lacquered in the house pink, Texas Rose. It is on most of the range and is named on the product page; it scuffs with wear, which is normal.

Which Paris Texas material is the most hard-wearing?

Patent calf for the Lidia, because it wipes clean and does not scuff, and plain calf for the boots. Suede needs the most care, mirror leather the most protection.

What is velour in a Paris Texas product name?

The brand’s word for a brushed calf suede on some boots; Luxury Handbags lists those styles as suede.
