The brand shot it in a converted laundry outside Paris and lists it as Spring/Summer 26; the nine new bags reached Luxury Handbags in September 2026 at $1,080 to $1,280. What changed
Smooth calf is the story. It has an even, matte surface with no grain, a softer hand than the box calf the shoulder bags are cut from, and it patinas more slowly, which suits the totes that get set on floors and desks. It arrives in the three brown-family shades, Taupe, Tan and Chocolate, and replaces box calf on the Sévigné, which had been offered in box, suede and pebble. The Mini Sévigné is the other change: the tote shape at 36 cm wide with short hand handles and a removable shoulder strap, the first Sévigné that wears cross-body.
What did not change
The shapes: every 2026 bag is an existing silhouette. The hardware: the plaque and feet, in gold, with silver on the two Black pebble bags. The prices: the Sévigné in smooth calf is the same 697 euros at the brand as the suede one, and Luxury Handbags prices both from that. And the make: Italy, Venetian workshops, northern Italian calf, LWG-certified tanning.
What left
The brand’s September catalogue no longer lists the Sully, the Mini Sully and the Gabriel, the Limoncello lizard-embossed colourway, the Light Blue and Light Pink Silver Editions, the Burgundy croc-embossed Roquette, the Green Forest and Night Blue Monceau Baguettes and the Cappuccino pebble bags. Luxury Handbags still holds some of those from the June intake; check the product page for stock.
“Every line must have a purpose. Every volume must be justified,” Laurent Valembert told Style Essentials in March 2026. “We wanted to create a permanent wardrobe of objects.”
