Gilda, Lupita, Begum, Alexa, Anok: every Amina Muaddi style explained
Amina Muaddi names its shoes after the lasts, and each name keeps its shape from season to season, so a Lupita in 2026 is the same shoe as the Lupita of 2019 in a new satin. The heels first
Three heels do most of the work. The signature heel is a stiletto that flares into a small cone at the base, 95 mm on most styles with a 70 mm option, and it gives the shoe a wider footprint than the number suggests. The mini signature is the same shape at 45 mm, the day heel. The flared stiletto is a straighter flare, and the Anok family runs on a classic stiletto with no flare at all. The styles
1. Lupita slipper
The house slipper: a square open toe, a single band across the foot and the signature heel in 70 mm and 95 mm. It comes in satin, nappa, suede, mesh and raffia, and in the crystal net version the band is a net of hand-set crystals. It is the one to buy first if you want the shoe the label is known for. 2. Gilda
The Lupita shape with a crystal ankle strap, on the signature heel. The strap is the difference: it holds the foot for dancing and it reads as jewellery, which is why the Gilda is the wedding and red-carpet order. Luxury Handbags carries it as a slipper and as a sandal in 70 mm and 95 mm.
3. Begum slingback
A pointed slingback on the signature heel in 70 mm and 95 mm with a starburst crystal brooch at the toe. The Glass version cuts the upper in clear PVC and the heel in plexiglass. The house says the pointed PVC styles fit small and suggests half a size to a full size up.
4. Holli slingback
The plain pointed slingback on the signature heel, 70 mm and 95 mm, in nappa, satin, lace and mesh. It is the Begum without the brooch and the one to wear with tailoring. Sizing follows the Begum: the house recommends going up on the PVC and pointed versions.
5. Alexa slipper
A slipper with an oblique almond toe on a 95 mm and 105 mm flared stiletto, in satin, nappa, patent, lace and snakeskin. It sits closer to the foot than the Lupita, and the house notes that it tends to fit small, so size up if you are between sizes.
6. Anok
The Anok family runs on a classic stiletto in 55 mm, 90 mm, 105 mm and 155 mm rather than the flared heel, as a pointed mule, slingback, pump and sandal. The mule keeps the line of a mule on the structure of a pump. It is the choice for anyone who wants the house materials on a heel that does not announce itself.
7. Camelia slingback
A pointed slingback on a flared stiletto with a rectangular mirrored buckle at the toe, the same buckle that closes the Camelia clutch. It comes in satin, lace and polka dots, 60 mm, 90 mm and 105 mm.
8. Juliette thong slipper
A round open-toe thong on the 45 mm mini signature heel, in patent, croc-print calf and snake-print goatskin. It is the day shoe of the range and the one for a long dinner on uneven ground.
9. Gigi
The crystal thong: a round toe, crystal-embellished straps and the mini signature heel in 45 mm, 70 mm and 95 mm, with a flat version too. It is the Gilda idea worn low.
10. Dalida platform slipper
The tall one: a square-toe slipper on a 140 mm heel with a 40 mm platform under the toe, so the pitch is closer to a 100 mm shoe. It comes in satin, nappa and clear PVC.
11. Felicia
A pointed mule and slingback on a 100 mm slanted heel, in satin and, in the crystal net version, suede under a net of crystals.
The bags
The bags carry the shoe hardware. The Camelia clutch is a soft satin and nappa pouch with the rectangular crystal buckle on a strap across the front and a crossbody chain; the Micro is the phone-size version.
