ME+EM Shoes, Boots, Bags and Jewellery: The Guide

ME+EM accessories now on Luxury Handbags include 28 pairs of shoes, from ballet flats and loafers to stretch leather boots, eight leather bags made in Italy, eleven Italian leather belts and fifteen pieces of jewellery, most in brass plated in 24 karat gold. Shoes come in EU 36 to 42 (UK 3 to 9), belts in XS to XL and rings in Small, Medium and Large. Prices run from $150 for socks to $1,590 for an over-the-knee boot.

ME+EM boots

The boots are the strongest part of the shoe range. Most are lamb leather made in Italy.

The three Stretch boots share a slim square toe and a low 4.5cm heel, so they can be worn all day. The knee-high is the one to wear under a midi dress. The Taper Heel Point Boot has an almond toe and also comes in Merlot. The Platform Ankle Boot, with a round toe, also comes in Dark Chocolate and gives a very wide trouser the height it needs.

ME+EM flats, loafers and heels

Ballet flats

The flats are made in Spain and Italy. The Round Ballet Flat in Port Brown ($620) has a gold-toned branded buckle, the High Front Ballet Flat in Pecan ($660) has an elongated almond toe, and the Leopard Ballet Flat ($710) is calf leather with an old English gold buckle. The Point Toe Flat in Black ($710) has an adjustable buckle, and the Peep Toe Flat ($660) a v-cut front.

Loafers

The Square Toe Loafer in Black Brown ($710) is made in Italy with a 2cm heel and also comes in Tan/Chocolate. The Ruched Loafer in Black ($660) is softer, made in Spain with a 1.9cm heel, and also comes in Chocolate. The Double Buckle Shoe ($710) is a monk shoe made in Portugal.

Heels

ME+EM heels stay low. The Taper Heel Pump ($660) has a 5.5cm heel and an almond toe, the Mary-Jane Heel ($660) a 6cm heel, the High Front Block Heel ($660) a 5cm heel, and the Block Heel Loafer in Port Brown ($810) a 6cm heel with a padded saddle.

Trainers

The Retro Runner, made in Portugal, comes in Black/Brown leather, Pecan Brown/Black suede and Rich Red suede, all at $470. The Asymmetric Runner ($470) has an asymmetric toe.

How do ME+EM shoes fit?

ME+EM bags

All eight ME+EM bags on Luxury Handbags are leather and made in Italy.

ME+EM belts

The eleven belts are cow leather made in Italy, in sizes XS to XL. The Wide Waist Belt in Nut Brown ($320) is 55mm wide with two keeper loops, one fixed and one floating. The Resin Buckle Belt ($470) is 40mm wide, and the Leopard Print Belt ($340) is 30mm. For jeans, the Square Buckle Belt in Black ($340) and the Snake Embossed Skinny Belt ($250) are the everyday choices, and the Reversible Belt in Port Brown/Caramel ($280) gives two colours in one. ME+EM jewellery

Most ME+EM jewellery is made in Italy from brass plated in 0.5 microns of 24 karat gold. The silver-toned crystal and glass pearl pieces are made in China.

The rings come in Small (UK L and a half, EU 52), Medium (UK N and a half, EU 54) and Large (UK P, EU 56). The Cygnet Stacking Rings ($470) pair a gold and a silver ring, and the Molten Ring ($470) is the chunky one. ME+EM scarves, gloves and hats

There are 20 scarves. The cashmere triangles are the ones to know: the Mini Triangle Knit Scarf ($280) comes in Cream, Smoke Pink, Rich Olive Green and Mid Grey Mélange, and the full-size Triangle Knit Scarf ($390) in Deep Camel, Bronzed Brown and Charcoal. Most of the silk scarves, such as the Border Scarf in Red Multi ($260, 68cm square), are made in Italy from organic silk. The Travel Scarf ($390) is wool with 20% cashmere.

The leather gloves are lined in wool and cashmere: the Long Glove in Bronzed Brown ($280) and the Short Glove in Black ($250), in S/M and M/L.
