ME+EM Autumn Winter 2026: The 12 Pieces to Buy First

0

ME+EM’s Autumn Winter 2026 collection is built on red and brown: Merlot and Barolo Red, Pecan, Port and Bronzed Brown, with Rich Olive as the green. The key pieces are the Heritage brown check, argyle and Fair Isle cashmere, lamb leather barrel trousers and skirts, and new shoes and gold jewellery. Luxury Shoes ’s edit has 202 ready-to-wear pieces and 95 accessories, and these are the twelve to buy first.

We chose them for how often they will be worn, not for how loud they are. Each one works with at least three other pieces on the list, so buying four of them gives you a working winter wardrobe. Prices are Luxury Handbags prices; sizes and fit are in the ME+EM size guide.

What are the ME+EM Autumn Winter 2026 trends?

The Fit + Flare Midi Dress ($620) is cotton with a zip neckline and an elasticated back panel, the dress for a working week. It also comes in Warm Chocolate.

5. Engineered Barrel Jean in Authentic Dark Wash

6. Argyle Relaxed Jumper

The Argyle Relaxed Jumper in Pecan Brown Mélange/Charcoal ($660) is 100% cashmere with a crew neck, the knit of the season.

8. Luxe Barrel Trouser

Lamb leather made in Mauritius, the Luxe Barrel Trouser in Black/Brown ($1,320) is the investment piece, also in Merlot Red. The Luxe Pleat Midi Skirt in Pecan Brown ($1,130) is the alternative for skirt wearers.

9. Tailored Oversized Coat

Wool with 8% cashmere, double-breasted and long. The Tailored Oversized Coat in Bronzed Brown ($1,180) goes over everything on this list.

10. Stretch Knee-High Boot

The Stretch Knee-High Boot ($1,220) in black lamb leather, made in Italy with a 4.5cm heel, is the boot for every midi dress and skirt.

11. Square Toe Loafer

For trousers, the Square Toe Loafer in Black Brown ($710) is made in Italy with a 2cm heel.

12. Drop Earrings in Gold Toned

The Drop Earrings ($570) are brass plated in 24 karat gold, made in Italy, and small enough for every day.

The knitwear and leather in more detail

The season’s knitwear runs on four yarns. Barely There is 90% merino with 10% cashmere and is the layer under everything, from $280. The pure cashmere pieces, from $430, include jumper and snood sets and two argyles. Fair Isle comes in alpaca blends, made in Romania and Italy. A merino and yak blend, 70% and 30%, is used for the heather and pecan brown knits, from $390. Our ME+EM knitwear guide explains each family.

The leather is all lamb leather, and most of it is made in Mauritius. Beyond the barrel trouser and the pleat skirt, there is a Luxe A-Line Mini Skirt ($840), a Luxe Flare Maxi Skirt ($1,130), a Luxe Straight Shirt ($1,030) and a Luxe Box Tee ($950). Most of the leather pieces come in a two-tone Black Brown, and the barrel trouser also comes in Merlot Red.

For outerwear, the Luxe Crop Jacket ($2,350) in sheepskin is the most expensive piece in the edit, and the Crop Swing Coat in Camel ($900) is the lightest coat, cut to the hip with a large collar.

ME+EM evening pieces for the party season

For December, the Drop Waist Evening Dress in Barolo Red ($1,320) is wool with 13% silk, and the Icon Oversized Tux Blazer ($810) has satin lapels to wear over a Crop Evening Top in Barolo Red ($390). Add the 2-in-1 Saddle Clutch in Merlot ($810), made in Italy. More options are in the ME+EM dresses guide.

How to build an ME+EM winter wardrobe

Start with one suit (the blazer and trouser in pieces 1 and 2), one knit in the season’s red, one dress and one pair of boots. Every one of those five pieces works with the other four. Add the coat in November and the leather in December. For more depth on any category, read our guides to ME+EM coats, jackets and blazers, trousers and jeans, knitwear and shoes, bags and accessories. The full edit is on the ME+EM brand page, and our capsule wardrobe guide covers the method.
