David Koma Corsets: The Boned Tops, the Corset Gowns and How to Size One
The corset is the David Koma structure, the thing under the sculpted dress that makes it hold, and the house also sells it on the outside: boned corset tops, corset bodices on gowns and midis, denim corsets for the day. WWD’s fall 2026 review saw “corsetry that framed the body” as the season’s centre. There are 22 corset and bustier pieces in stock at Luxury Handbags from $1,780 to $8,410, and because a corset is the one Koma piece where the fit rule changes, this guide is half buying and half sizing.
Key facts
- 22 corset and bustier pieces in stock, $1,780 to $8,410, median $3,900: corset tops in cady, wool, denim and velvet denim; corset gowns and midis in satin, lace and cady.
- Koma corsets are boned, lined in a polyester-elastane cloth and closed with a hidden zip; there is no lacing to let out, so the size must be right.
- Sizing rule: use the bust measurement against the brand’s chart and, between two sizes, take the larger.
- The most expensive top the house makes is a corset, the Crystal Leaf Corset Top; the cheapest corsets are the Turkish denim ones at $1,780.
- Wear a corset top with a high-waisted trouser so no skin shows at the waist unless you mean it to.

Sizing a corset
A corset is meant to be firm and it must close, and Koma’s close with a zip, so there is nothing to adjust once it is on. Measure the bust at the fullest point with the tape level, read the brand’s chart (UK 8 is 86 cm, UK 10 is 91, UK 12 is 96), and if you fall between two sizes take the larger; a tailor can take a corset in at the side seams and cannot let it out. The waist will follow the bust in a Koma corset because the house cuts the two together. The size guide has the whole chart and the tops guide the trousers to wear with each.
“By refusing color this season, I had the chance to pay more attention to the texture and every little gesture,” David Koma told WWD of his fall 2026 collection in March 2026, describing the woman he cut it for as “elegant and timeless with austerity and quiet power. This is how a modern femme fatale looks in my eyes for this winter.”
