Spring-summer 2026 is the forest collection: the one with the cactus dahlias, the leaves in crystal and plexi, the fringe knits and the acid brights, shot in a wood the designer walked through during the pandemic and shown in October 2025 under a WWD headline that read “Life Is a Party”. “There is always this tension between hard and soft in my work, which inspired the color palette and its exotic element,” David Koma told WWD of spring 2026 in October 2025. “I wanted to create this really strong and sharp collection that can be equally powerful and dangerous, but very serene and beautiful at the same time.”

The forest gave the collection three motifs. The cactus dahlia, a many-petalled flower built from cut satin and tulle over an embroidered centre, on the Cactus Dahlia Detail Gown, the Cactus Dahlia Detail Halter Gown, the Cactus Dahlia Detail Halter Mini Dress and the draped midis in blue and black. The leaf, in crystal on the Crystal Leaf Corset Top and the Crystal Leaf And Halter Mini Dress, in plexi on the Plexi Leaf And Drape Mini Dress, in pleated cloth on the Pleated Leaf Mini Skirt and the Pleated Leaf Long Sleeved Top, and in leather on the Leather Leaf Halter Neck Gown. And the string, the “tassels that resembled the string of a leaf” WWD saw on an acid-green dress, which became the fringe knits: the Fringe Draping Knit Gown In Blue, the Fringe Draped Mini Knit Dress In Green, the Fringe Draping Cami Mini Knit Dress.
