Acler Shoes and Bags: The Heels and Beaded Evening Bags, Explained

0

Acler is best known for its hand-draped event dresses, but the Adelaide label also designs the shoes and evening bags to wear with them. For Fall 2026 that means four heel styles and three beaded bags, all built in the same colours as the dresses in the same drops. Luxury Handbags now carries all of them alongside the Acler ready-to-wear. This is what each piece is, how it fits and what to wear it with.

Acler shoes and bags at a glance

  • Heels: the Leeroy slingback (8.5 cm), the Brinlee strappy sandal on a Perspex heel (7 cm), and the Caro and Flanleigh pumps on a 10 cm flared heel.
  • Bags: the Birch, a small hand-beaded crescent with a top handle; the Drip Birch, which adds a long beaded fringe; and the Pearl Medium Birch, strung with pearl strands.
  • Sizes: heels run EU 36 to EU 42. Bags are one size, and because each is made by hand, the measurements can vary slightly from piece to piece.
  • Colours: taken straight from the Fall 2026 dresses, so Cardamom, Soft Flamingo, Buttercream, Bordeaux Haze and Dotty all have a dress to match.

The Leeroy Heel: the colour-matched slingback

The Leeroy is a closed-toe slingback in soft kid leather, gathered over the front of the foot and finished with an elasticated top line that holds the shoe without a tight strap across the instep. An adjustable buckle sits at the back of the heel, and the heel itself is 8.5 cm, sculpted and slightly flared.

It comes in three colours. Cardamom is a bright lime green, the boldest of the three. Soft Flamingo is a pale shell pink with a green lining you only see when the shoe is off. Buttercream is a soft butter yellow, warmer than the Buttercream dresses look on screen.

The easiest way to wear a Leeroy is against a dress in a contrasting colour: Cardamom under a navy mini, Soft Flamingo with a deep blue maxi like the Mead Maxi Dress in Blue Melt. Slingbacks are also the most searched heel shape of the year, with around 18,000 searches a month in the US, so the Leeroy is the Acler shoe most people will be looking for.

The Brinlee Heel: the strappy sandal for long dresses

The Brinlee is a strappy sandal cut from slim leather straps, with a soft pointed toe and a fine buckle at the ankle. The 7 cm heel is sculpted Perspex, clear in the Ivory and a warm amber in the Sepia, which pairs the clear heel with tan leather.

It is the most practical heel in the range. The lower height and the open shape make it the one to choose for a garden wedding, a long reception and any dress that reaches the floor, since a strappy sandal reads light under a long hem. The Ivory works for a bride at a civil ceremony; the Sepia is the neutral that goes with every Acler print.

The Caro and Flanleigh Heels: pointed pumps on a flared heel

The Caro Heel in Ivory is a pointed pump in soft cut leather on a 10 cm flared heel that widens toward the base. The line is clean from toe to heel with no hardware at all, which is why it works under a bridal look and for every black-tie invitation after.

The Flanleigh Heel in Dotty uses the same shape in peach skin satin scattered with flocked polka dots. It is the playful one, made to match the Dotty prints in the same collection, and the easiest way to make a plain black dress look like a choice.

Acler heel sizing

Acler cuts its heels in EU sizes 36 to 42, and Luxury Handbags lists only the sizes the label makes for each style. As a guide, EU 36 is a UK 3, EU 37 a UK 4, EU 38 a UK 5, EU 39 a UK 6, EU 40 a UK 7, EU 41 a UK 8 and EU 42 a UK 9. Add three and a half to the UK number for a rough US size, so EU 38 is close to a US 7.5.

The Caro and Flanleigh are closed pointed pumps, so if you are between sizes take the larger one. The Leeroy has an elasticated top line and an adjustable strap, which gives more room for error, and the Brinlee adjusts at the ankle buckle.

The Birch Bag: Acler’s beaded evening bag

The Birch is a small crescent bag with a curved top handle, beaded entirely by hand. Acler says its bead work is done by artisans with more than 35 years of experience, applying each bead individually. It measures about 25 cm wide and 14 cm tall, closes with a zip and has an internal pocket. That is enough for a phone, cards, keys and a lipstick, which is all an evening bag needs to carry.

The Birch Bag in Rouge Eclipse follows the Rouge Eclipse print from the Fall 2026 dresses, in red, pink and sand beads. The Birch Bag in Spicy Red is a single bright red in glass seed beads and sequins, the one to carry with a black dress.

The Drip Birch Bag: the beaded fringe

The Drip Birch keeps the same top-handle shape and adds a long fringe of glass bugle and seed beads that shades from light to dark. The fringe swings as you walk and hangs about 26 cm from the opening, so the bag looks bigger than it is. It comes in Berry Ombre, which moves from pink through plum to near black, and Bordeaux Haze, which moves from pale pink to deep wine and matches the Primula Maxi Dress in Bordeaux Haze exactly.

The Pearl Medium Birch Bag: the bridal option

The Pearl Medium Birch Bag in Antique Pearl is built on a leather base covered in hand-applied beadwork, with a beaded pearl handle and cascading pearl strands. It is about 25.5 cm tall and the most formal bag in the range: the obvious choice for a bride, and a good one for any ivory dress.

How to wear Acler shoes and bags together

Acler designs its accessories as finishing pieces, so the rule is to let one of them lead. If the bag is beaded, keep the shoe plain: a Drip Birch in Bordeaux Haze with the Brinlee in Sepia. If the shoe is the colour, keep the bag quiet: a Leeroy in Cardamom with a small black bag. For a bridal look, the Pearl Medium Birch with the Caro in Ivory is the most considered pairing in the collection.

For the dress itself, our Acler wedding guest guide and Fall 2026 edit cover what to buy first, and our guides to beaded evening bags and ivory bridal heels compare Acler with other labels.
