Alex Perry Fall Winter 2026: The Collection, Piece by Piece

Alex Perry Fall Winter 2026 is built on eight fabrics: virgin wool suiting, leather, shearling, leopard lace, dry jersey, devoré, stretch mesh and satin crepe. Each one is cut into the house shapes, so you get corseted strapless gowns, draped one-shoulder jersey, bodysuits, bikers and a full suit. The palette runs from black and midnight through sage, forest green and fern to cherry, blackberry, dijon, clay, gold and lavender, and Luxury Handbags carries more than 40 pieces from the drop in UK 4 to 18.

What is in the Alex Perry Fall Winter 2026 collection?

Alex Perry has been dressing Sydney for evening since 1992, and ready-to-wear went global in 2013 under Alex Perry and Trevor Stones. FW26 keeps that evening focus and adds a full day wardrobe. About half the collection is gowns and cocktail dresses; the rest is separates, from corset tops and trousers to bodysuits, skirts, blazers and three jackets.

Read it by fabric, because each fabric has its own small colour story, summarised in the table further down.

Wool suiting: the strapless gown, the corset top and the suit

Every wool piece is 100% virgin wool, cut for evening. The Strapless Sweetheart Drape Gown in black has a longline corset under a sweetheart neckline and a long drape falling from the hip to the floor. The same gown in midnight is a navy so dark it reads almost black. Suiting is a quieter choice than satin for black tie, with a matte depth.

The separates are where the collection earns its keep. The Strapless Longline Corset Top in black and its sage twin have a straight neckline and a longline panelled corset that runs past the waist. Pair either with the Double Breasted Fitted Blazer in black (also in sage), which has structured shoulders and a nipped waist. Trousers come two ways: the Straight Trouser, mid-rise with a pin-stitched crease down the front, and the Pleated Trouser, lower on the waist with a double pleat. Both are also cut in sage (straight, pleated).

For cocktail hour, the Strapless Drape Mini Dress in sage puts the same corset under a short skirt with a sash of fabric falling from one hip. We cover the full suit, and how to wear a corset top to a black-tie wedding, in our evening tailoring guide.

Leather and shearling: the strapless dress, the bodysuit and the biker

The dresses and bodysuits are lamb leather. The Strapless Sweetheart Dress in cherry is a long, narrow column with an internal corset; cherry here is a deep wine red, closer to burgundy than to a fire-engine red. The Strapless Sweetheart Drape Dress in black is the short version, with a drape falling from the hip. The Strapless Tucked Mini Dress in cherry wraps ruching across the body, and the Scoop Singlet Dress in dijon, a long tan sheath with a low scoop neck, is the most wearable leather dress in the drop.

Separates: the Scoop Singlet Bodysuit in black and cherry close with a concealed zip, and the Skirt in Leather, cherry is a belted, high-waisted pencil with panelled seams. The jackets are cow leather: the Cropped Biker Jacket in black and cherry are boxy, short and finished with silver-tone hardware. The one statement coat is the Oversize Biker Jacket in white shearling, cream shearling with smooth cuffs and hem band, cut big enough to go over a gown. Read our leather strapless dress guide for fit and care.

Leopard lace: bodysuits, skirts and a column

The leopard lace is a stretch lace (90% polyamide, 10% elastane). The bodysuits are sheer and unlined: the Long Sleeve Bodysuit in black and brown have a crew neck, the Scoop Singlet Bodysuit a low square scoop, and the Bikini Bodysuit thin straps and a V. Under the black wool blazer they read as eveningwear.

The Strapless Tucked Dress in brown and the black Strapless Tucked Mini are ruched from bust to hem, the Long Sleeve Asymmetric Drape Dress swags its skirt across one hip, and the Bikini Asymmetric Drape Column in black is a floor-length column over an internal bodysuit. The Asymmetric Drape Skirt (also in black) also works with a plain knit. Styling ideas are in our leopard lace edit.

Dry jersey, devoré and stretch mesh: the draped gowns

Dry jersey is a 100% viscose jersey with a matte, dry hand, and it carries the season’s best colour. The One Shoulder Scarf Gown in forest green wraps the bodice asymmetrically and trails a scarf to the floor, then flares at the knee. The One Shoulder Cape Sleeve Twist Mini takes the same green short, with a cape over one shoulder and a twist at the hip. The Cape Sleeve Twist Gown in clay is the long version in a burnt terracotta, and the Halter Drape Gown in violet has a low neckline and an open back.

Devoré is a burnt-out velvet: part of the pile is dissolved so the pattern sits raised against a sheer ground. The Strapless Drape Gown in black devoré (nylon, rayon and silk) catches candlelight on the raised areas and goes almost liquid in the folds. What is a devoré gown? explains the fabric in full.

Stretch mesh is the body-skimming option. The Cupped Drape Gown in toffee has a cupped sweetheart bodice and a ruched skirt in a warm rust brown. The Ruched Column in grey adds exposed cut-outs and a ruched centre front, the grey Strapless Drape Mini keeps the corset line, and the Cupped Bodysuit and Drape Skirt in black make a sheer, ruched evening separate.

Satin crepe: the black-tie gowns

Satin crepe (acetate and polyester) is the fabric Alex Perry is known for: a satin face on a crepe body that falls in a straight, sculpted line. FW26 uses it for the formal gowns. The Cupped Asymmetric Tiered Drape Gown in blackberry cascades a tiered drape down one side, and the Strapless Sweetheart Drape Column gives the same deep aubergine a straighter line. The Long Sleeve Asymmetric Tiered Drape Gown in fern has a crew neck and long sleeves, which makes it the winter gown of the season. The Strapless Tucked Gown in black flares into a mermaid hem.

The shorter satin-crepe pieces are cocktail: the Long Sleeve Drape Dress in gold (a saturated mustard gold with a drape at the hip), the One Shoulder Drape Dress in fern and the Strapless Cupped Longline Asymmetric Dress in lavender, a pale lilac with a high-low hem. Green is a story of its own this season, covered in our green evening gowns guide, and the blackberry sits in our burgundy gowns edit.

How to build an evening wardrobe from Alex Perry FW26

Five pieces cover a winter of invitations, in this order.

  1. One black-tie gown. The fern long-sleeve gown if you run cold and want colour; the black devoré if you want one gown for ten years.
  2. The corset top and trouser. Black wool suiting, straight leg. It goes to a gala with a heel and to dinner with the blazer on top.
  3. A leather jacket. The black cropped biker sits over every gown in the collection without fighting the neckline.
  4. A leopard lace bodysuit. Long sleeve, black. It turns the trousers and the leather skirt into evening.
  5. One cocktail dress. The cherry tucked mini for parties, the gold drape dress for anything with speeches.

Add the white shearling last, as the one piece that pulls the other five together.

How does Alex Perry FW26 fit?

Alex Perry cuts to sculpt and sets the waist high to lengthen the leg. Many FW26 pieces have internal corsetry and no stretch (the wool, satin crepe and leather dresses), so fit them to your tightest measurement, usually the waist. Luxury Handbags stocks these pieces in UK 4 to 18; US sizing is UK minus four, so a UK 10 is a US 6. The leather bikers come in letter sizes XXS to XXL and the shearling in XS to L. Luxury Shoes ’s read is that the line runs true to size. The stretch mesh and leopard lace give more ease. The full chart is in the Alex Perry size guide.
