That work, cut close to the body and treated to look lived in, shaped the attitude the label still trades on.

The step from custom stage clothing to a brand came through Maxfield, the Los Angeles store, which carried his first capsule. The house was founded in 2014 and has stayed rooted in Los Angeles ever since. Amiri’s own product notes this season point back to the start: the Bones motif is described as tracing back to a one-room atelier on Sunset Boulevard, and the Amiri 1994 Crew nods to Mike Amiri’s beginnings with a reference to the Class of 1994.

Amiri womenswear: when it started and where it shows

Amiri was a menswear name first. Womenswear debuted in 2021, according to the CFDA. A bigger moment came with Autumn Winter 2025, shown in January 2025 during Paris Men’s Fashion Week, when the women’s collection walked the Paris runway beside menswear for the first time, as reported by Marie Claire, Cultured and L’Officiel.

The Amiri signatures, in ten pieces

The quickest way to understand the house is through the motifs it repeats. These ten pieces from the current women’s drop each carry one of them.

1. The MA icon: Micro MA Bag in Black

The Micro MA is the bag most people picture when they hear Amiri. It is crafted in Italy from nappa leather with tied Amiri bandana accents, a top handle and a detachable leather shoulder strap, and measures 14.6 cm wide. It also comes in Pink and Alabaster.

2. The MA Quad monogram: MA Quad Canvas Micro MA Bag in Black

The MA Quad is the house monogram, a repeating pattern built from the MA letters. Here it is custom-woven into coated canvas on the Micro MA shape, finished with MA icon hardware and a detachable leather strap. A Pink version sits in the same drop.

3. The bandana print: Bandana Silk Chain Strap in Black Gold

The paisley bandana is one of the oldest Amiri codes, and it turns up on tied bag scarves, keychains and straps. This braided strap mixes metal and silk, is 118 cm long with a 54 cm drop, and is made in Italy. There is also a Black Nickel version.

4. The Bones motif: Bones Cropped Down Jacket in Black

Amiri’s notes tie the Bones motif to the house’s first atelier on Sunset Boulevard. This cropped puffer carries bone patch appliques, a zip and snap closure and the Amiri logo at the chest, and it is filled with duck down and made in Romania. It also comes in Dark Brown, and a Semolina version arrives for Pre Spring 2027.

5. Skeleton appliques: Skel-Top Low Sneakers in Alabaster

The Skel-Top sews leather skeleton appliques onto a classic basketball shape. This Alabaster pair is the one Italian-made sneaker in the drop, with a two-tone rubber sole, perforated detailing and topstitching. A Black White pair is made in Vietnam.

6. The skate sneaker: MA-1 Sneakers in White Black

Amiri describes the MA-1 as a tribute to the amplified sneakers of ’90s West Coast skaters. It sits on an exaggerated rubber outsole with house logos on the side and back and double lace fastening. Alabaster and Pink Alabaster versions are also in the edit.

7. Stars: Stars Court Low Sneakers in White Black

Star appliques scattered across the upper are the Stars Court signature. This pair has a double-stacked moulded rubber outsole, a rubberised toe cap and tonal leather stars, with contrast trim carrying the Amiri logo. The Court comes in many versions, from White Pink leather to Black canvas and Silver glitter.

8. Bones on a sneaker: Pacific Bones Sneakers in Red Rose

The Pacific Bones puts the bone appliques on a low, streamlined athletic sneaker. This pair has a patent leather upper on an MA icon-patterned rubber sole. A Glitter Silver Grey pair and a Lizard Embossed Plum pair carry the same idea.

9. The origin story: Amiri 1994 Crew in Ivory

This relaxed cotton tee nods to Mike Amiri’s beginnings with a reference to the Class of 1994. It is made in Portugal and finished with distressed hems, the kind of worn-in treatment that runs through the whole label.

10. Los Angeles eyewear: Venice Sunglasses in Black

Amiri’s eyewear carries Los Angeles place names, Venice and Mulholland among them. The Venice is a rectangular acetate frame made in Japan with Zeiss lenses, seven-barrel hinges and a raised gold-plated MA Quad motif at the temples. A Black Yellow version is also available.

What makes Amiri look like Amiri

Three things recur across the collection. The first is treatment: much of the clothing is described by the house as treated for intentional variation in shade, so tees look sun-faded and leather looks found. The second is Los Angeles references, from Laurel Canyon graphic tees to bags and sunglasses named after local places. The third is hardware, with the MA icon worked into buckles, clasps and pendants.

The mix of rock, skate and Western references is consistent too. This season alone you will find a Western Lace Shirt, Fringe Honey bags with Westernwear trim, a Leather Officer Jacket and a skate-inspired sneaker.
