About Lemaire

Lemaire is a French ready-to-wear house based in Paris. Christophe Lemaire started the label in 1991 and has run it since 2014 with Sarah-Linh Tran, his co-creative director and partner. He learned the discipline of a great house at Hermès, where he led womenswear from 2010 to 2014, and he carried that restraint into his own work. The result is quiet, functional minimalism: clothes designed to be lived in, layered, and kept.

The house is known for a soft, slightly oversized line, a deeply worked palette of tobacco, chocolate, chalk, and slate, and an often unisex sensibility. Lemaire accessories, in particular the Croissant bag, turned the label into a cult name, but the ready-to-wear is where the philosophy is clearest.
