The terms
Attico
The Italian word for penthouse. Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini chose it for the top-floor, after-dark idea the first collection was built on; the launch hashtag was #JoinUsUpstairs.
Scoop
The brand’s signature cut-out: an asymmetric curve at the hem of a t-shirt, sweatshirt, shirt and knit, finished with a seam, and echoed as a curved hem on the cashmere-blend knitwear. See the black logo t-shirt.
Fern
The multi-pocket cargo pant, cut with a folded fifth pocket on the front, made across seasons in washed denim, cotton gabardine and garment-dyed fleece. The Washed blue cargo pants is the current gabardine version.
Fay
The cargo mini skirt that shares the Fern’s pockets and folded fifth pocket, in washed black denim with a low-rise waist. Listed at Luxury Handbags as the Black mini skirt.
Diana
The oversized shirt jacket in denim, the brand’s day-to-evening layer, which appears in light blue and sky blue washes.
Anja
The bomber jacket, the brand’s second signature after the mini dress: nylon, washed cotton gabardine, wool and polyamide, wool and leather, lamb and goat leather, and Mongolian fur, all with a jacquard logo lining.
Animalier
The brand’s word for its zebra stripe, which runs through dresses, shirts, shorts, a cardigan and the swim line, sometimes jacquard-woven as on the Desert mini dress.
Il primo bagno
Literally “the first swim”: the name of the brand’s beachwear capsule, the bikinis, one-pieces, pareos and cover-ups that descend from the 2019 Eres collaboration.
La passeggiata
The brand’s top-handle tote family, named for the Italian evening walk; a bag line, so not stocked at Luxury Shoes , which concentrates on the ready-to-wear and swim.
Shuffle Logo Mark
The embroidered logo the brand names on its knitwear product pages, placed at the chest of cardigans and sweaters.
Marabou
The soft turkey-feather trim on the party skirts and dresses, stitched in rows; the Black Mini Skirt is embroidered with it.
Soutache
A braid-embroidery technique the brand uses on its most expensive dresses; the Ivory midi dress is the current example.
