How to Wear the Lupita Slipper 95 in Latte Suede
A pointed mule wants a bare ankle, so a midi skirt by day and a slip dress at night. Keep the jewellery to one piece.
- For evening: A slip dress and a bare ankle let the heel do the work. The crystal styles want no other jewellery.
- With denim: A wide-leg jean and a silk shirt bring a satin slipper into daylight. Let the hem sit just above the heel.
- With tailoring: A slingback under a cropped trouser shows the flared heel from every angle. Match the shoe to the belt, not the bag.
- On holiday: The mini signature heel at 45 mm to 70 mm is the one for long dinners on uneven ground.

About Amina Muaddi
Amina Muaddi is a footwear house founded in Paris in 2018 by the designer of the same name. Born in Romania to a Jordanian father and a Romanian mother, raised between Amman and Romania and trained at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan, she co-founded the label Oscar Tiye in 2013 and left it in 2017 to start her own. The first collection arrived in August 2018 and the flared heel arrived with it: a stiletto that widens into a small cone at the base, so the shoe stands on a wider footprint than a classic pin heel. It sits under the Begum slingback, the Gilda and Lupita slippers and most of the range, in a 95 mm signature height and a 45 mm mini.
The shoes are made by hand in the Riviera del Brenta, the shoemaking district between Padua and Venice. Rihanna commissioned Muaddi to design the footwear for her Fenty line, which dropped in July 2020, and a capsule with AWGE, the creative agency of A$AP Rocky, followed in December 2020. Footwear News named the label Launch of the Year in 2018 and Muaddi Designer of the Year in 2019, and in 2023 she received the Neiman Marcus Award for Innovation in Fashion. Rihanna, Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Bella and Gigi Hadid and Rosé of Blackpink have all been photographed in the shoes. The official house site is aminamuaddi.com.
“The Lupita Slipper 95 in Latte Suede is the shoe people mean when they say they want an Amina Muaddi. The heel is the whole idea: a stiletto you can stand in for an evening because the base is wider than it looks. Buy your usual EU size.”

How Amina Muaddi Compares
Shoppers cross-shopping the Lupita Slipper 95 in Latte Suede typically also consider Mach and Mach, The Attico, and By Far. Mach and Mach makes the louder crystal shoe, with bows and a classic pin heel. The Attico is the one for a strappy sandal with a thicker platform. By Far sits lower in price and mood. Amina Muaddi is the one to buy for the flared heel and for a satin slipper with a crystal strap. Explore the full Amina Muaddi collection at Luxury Shoes to compare styles across the range.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Lupita Slipper 95 in Latte Suede authentic?
Yes. Every Amina Muaddi pair sold by Luxury Handbags is 100% authentic and authenticity-verified before dispatch, including the Lupita Slipper 95 in Latte Suede, reference 16S366109LUP.
What size should I order in Amina Muaddi?
Sized EU 35 to 42 in the Luxury Handbags ladder, and Amina Muaddi describes the fit as true to size. Take your usual EU size. Heel height 95 mm. Amina Muaddi sizes its shoes in EU sizing and states on almost every style that it fits true to size, so an EU 38 here is the 38 you wear in other Italian labels. The house sells half sizes, and Luxury Handbags lists the whole sizes from 35 to 42. On the PVC styles, the pointed Begum, Rosie and Holli slingbacks and the Alexa slipper, the house recommends half a size to a full size up. The conversion table above is the house’s own.
Who is Amina Muaddi?
Amina Muaddi is a Jordanian-Romanian footwear designer based in Paris. She trained in Milan, co-founded Oscar Tiye in 2013, and launched her own label in 2018. It is known for the flared martini-glass heel, crystal-strap satin slippers and clear PVC styles. Footwear News named it Launch of the Year in 2018 and named her Designer of the Year in 2019, she designed the footwear for Rihanna’s Fenty line in 2020, and she received the Neiman Marcus Award for Innovation in Fashion in 2023.
Where are Amina Muaddi shoes made?
In Italy. The shoes are made by hand in the Riviera del Brenta, the shoemaking district in the Veneto between Padua and Venice, and every pair Luxury Handbags sells carries the Made in Italy mark. The Lupita Slipper 95 in Latte Suede is listed above as Upper 100% goatskin. Lining 100% goatskin. Sole 70% leather 30% rubber.
How should I care for the Lupita Slipper 95 in Latte Suede?
Brush with a suede brush to lift the nap and protect with a suede spray before the first wear. Keep it dry, and store in the dust bag. The house asks that every pair is kept in its dust bag, away from perfume, makeup and damp. The leather sole will mark with wear, which is normal, and a cobbler can add a thin rubber protector if you plan to wear the pair on wet pavements.
What is the Amina Muaddi signature heel?
The signature heel is a stiletto that flares out into a small cone at the base, so it reads like an upturned martini glass from the side. It gives the shoe a wider footprint than a pin heel of the same height, which is why the 95 mm styles are easier to stand in than the number suggests. It comes as the 95 mm signature, the 45 mm mini signature, and in clear plexiglass on the Glass styles. The Begum slingback and the Gilda and Lupita slippers are the pieces most people know it from.
Which Amina Muaddi heel height should I choose?
The range runs from a flat thong sandal to a 155 mm platform. The 95 mm signature heel is the house standard and the one on most slippers and slingbacks. The 45 mm mini signature is the day version and the one to pick for a long dinner on uneven ground, and the 70 mm is the middle ground. The stiletto styles sit at 90 mm to 105 mm, and the Dalida and Aya platforms reach 140 mm to 155 mm with a 40 mm to 60 mm platform under the toe, so the pitch is closer to a 100 mm shoe. Each product page lists the exact heel height in millimetres.
What is an Amina Muaddi Glass shoe?
Glass is the house name for its clear styles. The upper is transparent PVC and the flared heel is cut in clear plexiglass, so there is almost nothing to see on the foot. The Begum Glass slingback and the Gilda and Alexa Glass slippers are the best known. PVC does not stretch, and the house recommends half a size to a full size up on its PVC styles, so take the next size in the ladder.
Are the croc, snake and ostrich Amina Muaddi shoes real exotic skin?
Mostly not. The croc styles are croc-print calf leather, the Natural Printed Snake styles are snake-print goatskin, and the Embossed Ostrich style is a satin with the ostrich pattern pressed into it. The exception is the Leopard Snake styles, which the house lists as karung snakeskin. The plain styles are silk satin, lamb and goat nappa, patent calf and suede, and the crystal styles are hand-set glass crystals on satin, suede and nappa. The material of the Lupita Slipper 95 in Latte Suede is listed above as Upper 100% goatskin. Lining 100% goatskin. Sole 70% leather 30% rubber.
What is the difference between the Gilda, Lupita, Begum, Alexa and Anok?
The names are the house lasts, and each one keeps its shape across the seasons. The Lupita is the square open-toe slipper on the signature flared heel in 95 mm and 70 mm, and the Gilda is the same slipper with a crystal ankle strap. The Begum is the pointed slingback on the signature heel with a starburst crystal brooch at the toe, and the Holli is the plain pointed slingback on the same heel. The Alexa is a slipper with an oblique almond toe on a 95 mm flared stiletto. The Anok family runs on a classic stiletto in 105 mm, 90 mm and 55 mm, as a pointed mule, slingback, pump and sandal. The Camelia shoes carry the rectangular mirrored buckle, the Juliette and Gigi are the thong slippers on the 45 mm mini signature heel, and the Dalida is the square-toe platform slipper at 140 mm.
Which celebrities wear Amina Muaddi?
Rihanna, who commissioned the Fenty footwear line from Muaddi in 2020, is the most closely associated. Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Bella Hadid, Gigi Hadid and Rosé of Blackpink have all been photographed in the shoes, and A$AP Rocky’s AWGE agency released a capsule with the house in December 2020.
Does Luxury Handbags ship Amina Muaddi internationally?
Yes. Luxury Handbags ships Amina Muaddi worldwide with express options through DHL Express and FedEx International Priority. Most regions ship Delivered Duty Unpaid, which makes the customer the importer of record for local duties and taxes. The full terms are in the logistics and returns protocol.
