About Alexander Wang
Alexander Wang is the New York label founded in 2005 by the San Francisco-born designer Alexander Wang, who left Parsons School of Design to start it with a small line of knitwear. His first full womenswear collection showed at New York Fashion Week in 2007, and in 2008 he won the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund. From 2012 to 2015 he was also creative director of Balenciaga in Paris, and in 2014 he designed a collaboration for H&M. The house is known for what fashion editors call the model-off-duty wardrobe: black on black, fitted stretch knits, low-slung denim, boxer waistbands, crystal hotfix detailing, the Rocco duffle with its stud feet, and sharp heeled mules and sandals.
