What does Anatomic mean?

Anatomic is the name MM6 gives its shoe line. The toe follows the natural shape of the foot rather than a slim symmetrical point, the heel is a short cylinder, and many styles carry the MM6 numeric artwork on an elastic strap. The white stitch line sits at the back of the heel. “Anatomic shoes” is searched about 3,600 times a month worldwide.

Does MM6 make Tabi?

Not in the split-toe sense. The Tabi boot, with its separated big toe, belongs to the main Maison Margiela line (see our Tabi guide). MM6’s equivalent is the Anatomic toe, which is rounded and unsplit. Some MM6 boots add a stitched seam down the toe, a nod to the Tabi without the split, such as the Suede Anatomic Stitch Toe Ankle Boots in Alabaster.

Boots

The Anatomic ankle boot, in leather, suede, satin and ponyhair, is the MM6 winter staple. The Anatomic Ankle Boots in Olive is the olive version.
