Kate Middleton and Blazé Milano: Every Piece the Princess of Wales Has Worn
The short answer: the Princess of Wales has worn Blazé Milano since at least the summer of 2023, and she keeps going back to two things: a pinstriped double-breasted blazer and a run of checked wool coats. Her most reported pieces are a beige pinstripe Charmer blazer, a burgundy tartan blazer worn to church at Balmoral, a checked wool blazer on the January 2025 day she announced her remission, and a brown and black windowpane check coat she chose for Christmas Day at Sandringham in 2025. In May 2026 she wore the pinstripe again in Reggio Emilia, on her first solo overseas trip since her diagnosis.
Blazé Milano is the Milan tailoring label founded in 2013 by Corrada Rodriguez d’Acri, Delfina Pinardi and Maria Sole Torlonia, three stylists who met at Elle Italia. It makes blazers first and everything else second. Below is every appearance we could confirm in published reporting, what each piece was, and the cuts on Coveti that come closest today.

Forbes also reports Blazé Milano pieces at a visit to Colchester Hospital and to a women’s prison in Cheshire. We have left those out of the table because the reports do not name the garments.
The pinstripe blazer: summer 2023 to Reggio Emilia
The first sighting most royal watchers cite is the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford in July 2023, a family day out with Prince William and the children. She wore a beige pinstriped double-breasted blazer with slim lapels and a nipped waist, which royal style trackers identified as Blazé Milano’s Wind Hunter Charmer. The Charmer is the brand’s hourglass jacket: double-breasted, slim through the body, with slightly padded shoulders and peak lapels. It suits a long, narrow frame, and it reads polished without looking formal, which suits an outdoor engagement.
The pinstripe came back twice. Forbes reports that the Princess wore a Blazé Milano pinstripe blazer in the portrait Matt Porteous photographed in June 2024, released the day before Trooping the Colour and about three months after she announced her cancer diagnosis. The same report says she chose that blazer again on 14 May 2026 in Reggio Emilia, her first solo international trip since the diagnosis. Woman and Replica Luxury Handbag described the Italian look as relaxed and summery, built on a pleated skirt, a plain white T-shirt and flats. Wearing an Italian label on a visit to Italy is a familiar royal courtesy. She also chose a jacket she had owned for nearly three years.
The burgundy tartan blazer at Balmoral, September 2024
In September 2024 the Princess joined Prince William, the King and Queen Camilla for the Sunday service at Crathie Kirk near Balmoral. HELLO! identified her jacket as a deep burgundy Blazé Milano blazer in a bold tartan, which the magazine called a heritage blazer. Tartan at Balmoral is a long royal habit, and a tailored tartan jacket lets it work at church without the full weight of a kilted skirt. The jacket is typical Blazé Milano: a masculine cloth, cut close to a woman’s body.
The checked blazer at The Royal Marsden, January 2025
On 14 January 2025 the Princess visited The Royal Marsden, the London hospital where she had been treated, and shared the news that she was in remission. Forbes lists that visit among her Blazé Milano appearances, and GB News reported that the jacket appeared on the brand’s own site as the Anyway checked wool blazer, already sold out by the time readers went looking. HELLO! later wrote about the confusion over exactly which blazer she wore that winter, a sign of how closely her tailoring is now tracked.
The check coats: February 2025 and Christmas Day 2025
Outerwear is the second half of the story. In February 2025 WWD reported that the Princess rewore a tartan Blazé Milano coat, layering it over a burgundy turtleneck by Kiltane and a matching skirt by Edeline Lee. It is a lesson in tonal dressing: one rich red thread pulled through knit, skirt and coat.
On Christmas Day 2025 she walked to the service at St Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate in a brown and black windowpane check coat by Blazé Milano. WWD noted it as a favourite she had worn before, and Forbes describes it as a coat she has worn on several occasions. For many people, that walk is the most photographed royal moment of the year. She chose a coat she already owned, as she often does.
Royal style trackers also list a brown checked double-breasted wool coat from the label, named the Lahloo. Some of the Princess’s Blazé Milano pieces were made for her and some are no longer produced, according to the Forbes report, so the exact garments are rarely available to buy.
Why the Princess of Wales keeps choosing Blazé Milano
The cut comes first. Blazé Milano built its name on one garment, and its blazers are cut with a defined waist and a strong but natural shoulder, so they flatter without needing a belt. Then there is the cloth. The label favours English menswear fabrics, checks, tweeds and pinstripes, made up in Italy, which suits royal daywear that has to look smart in the countryside and in a hospital corridor on the same day. And the pieces last. Every piece in the table above has been worn more than once, and the brand’s founders have said they chose the blazer because it stays relevant through every stage of a woman’s life.
The effect on demand is easy to see. Google Ads keyword data shows UK searches for “blaze milano coat” at around 590 in December 2025, the month of the Sandringham walk, against 20 to 70 in a typical month. UK searches for “blaze milano blazer” rose to around 720 in May 2026, the month of Reggio Emilia, from roughly 90 the month before. The founders told Forbes that website traffic climbs each time she wears the label, and that customers write in asking whether discontinued pieces could be made again.
How to get the look: the closest pieces to shop now
Luxury Handbags does not carry the exact pieces the Princess wore, most of which are sold out at source. What we do carry are the same cuts in this season’s cloths, which is how she dresses anyway: a house shape, a proper check.
For the pinstripe blazer: the Charmer
The Charmer is the hourglass blazer behind her Air Tattoo look. The Charmer Blazer in Corinthian Grey is the most refined option now, a light grey check in virgin wool, silk and cashmere. For a stronger daytime check there is the Charmer Blazer in Bravado Grey in grey virgin wool with tortoiseshell-effect buttons, and the Charmer Blazer in Aramis Navy, a blue check. For evening, the Charmer Blazer in Mystere Night Blue is cut in midnight wool and cashmere. The brand cuts the Charmer to a regular fit and advises your usual size.
For the tartan pieces: the Sealady Coat and the Shamo Bolero
The Sealady Coat in Amane Multicolor is the label’s take on a peacoat, in a blue and red wool tartan with black velvet pocket trims, and it is the nearest thing in the current collection to her tartan coat. For a deep red alternative to the Balmoral blazer, the Shamo Bolero in Omadeleine Bordeaux brings the same burgundy into a short jacket.
For the check coat: the Woolly Coat and the Noma Coat
The Woolly Coat in Agape Grey Mix is an oversized, slightly flared coat in a wool and cashmere check of beige and brown, the warm autumn palette of her Christmas coat. The Noma Coat in Kasif Multicolor is a grey herringbone double-breasted coat with peak lapels, quieter and more urban. Both are cut generously; see our guide to Blazé Milano coats and jackets before you choose a size.
How to wear Blazé Milano the way the Princess does
Match the knit to the cloth. Her best looks pull one colour out of the check and repeat it in a fine roll neck. A Highland Polo in Highland Bordeaux does the same job under a red tartan; a camel knit does it under a brown check.
Choose a skirt with movement. In February 2025 she wore her tartan coat over a matching skirt, and in Reggio Emilia a pleated one. A midi length balances the strong shoulder of a Blazé Milano jacket.
Keep the shoes low. Royal engagements involve walking. Flats with the pinstripe, low boots with the coats.
Rewear it. A jacket this well made is meant to be worn for years, and the Princess wears hers again and again. For more ideas, read how to style a Blazé Milano blazer.
Sizing before you buy
Blazé Milano uses its own ladder: 00, 0, I, II, III and IV, which convert to UK 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14. The Charmer, the Sealady and the Shamo fit true to size. The oversized coats and the Everynight blazer run large, and the brand suggests one size smaller. Our Blazé Milano size guide has the full conversion.
