Dolce & Gabbana

Domenico Dolce grew up around a tailoring workshop in Polizzi Generosa, Sicily.
Stefano Gabbana trained in Milan, where the two opened the house in 1985 and where it
is still based. Almost everything the label is known for sits somewhere between those
two places. The tailoring is Milanese and precise, the decoration is Sicilian and
unapologetic, and the black lace, corsetry and printed silk keep returning season
after season rather than being retired for something new.
