The M&S x 16Arlington Collaboration: What It Was, and What to Buy Now It Is Gone

On 30 October 2025 Marks and Spencer launched a 43-piece capsule with 16Arlington, fronted by Georgia May Jagger and priced from 35 pounds for jewellery to 300 pounds for a chocolate faux-fur coat, with a tuxedo jacket at 140. It was the high-street collaboration of the year, a year in the making, and it is the reason the searches for a 16Arlington black dress and a 16Arlington bag now start with the letters M and S. This guide explains what the capsule was, how it relates to the mainline sold at Coveti, and what to buy if you missed it.

What was in the M&S x 16Arlington capsule

Partywear first: a beaded skirt, a silver sequin-embellished dress, feather trims, statement collars and diamante, all chosen by Marco Capaldo and, the brand says, attached by hand. Then daywear, cashmere knitwear, satin shirts with the house’s exaggerated collar, a leather jacket and pleated jeans, plus bags, shoes and jewellery, in a palette of black, silver, chocolate and ice blue, sized XS to XL. Capaldo described the brief as transitional evening, pieces for after six that also work by day. It sold online and in stores, and it was a one-off party-season capsule rather than a permanent line.

How it compares with mainline 16Arlington

The capsule borrowed the signatures, feathers and sequins and satin, at a fraction of the price and with high-street construction. Mainline 16Arlington at Luxury Handbags runs $500 to $9,940 with a median of $1,675: the Clio top in Japanese satin is $1,020, the Hodi feather mini is $1,770, the Electra sequin gown is $1,900. The differences are the fabrics (Japanese satin, woven sequin, ostrich and marabou rather than synthetic trims), the tailoring inside the garments, and where they are made: 180 of the 211 pieces at Luxury Handbags are made in the United Kingdom and 26 in Portugal.

If you missed the capsule

The mainline pieces that answer the same brief, in order of price:

1. Clio Top in Black, $1,020

The satin camisole with lace and rivets: the capsule’s satin shirts pointed at this.

2. Sior Dress in Ivory, $1,000

An ivory woven-sequin mini with a square neck, the nearest thing in the mainline to the capsule’s sequin dress.

3. Elin Cardigan in Chocolate, $930

A sequin cardigan in chocolate, one of the capsule’s colours, cut close.

4. Connie Mini Dress in Black, $990

The little black dress of the house: technical satin, tailored bust cups, a lace-trimmed A-line skirt.

5. Hodi Mini Dress in Black, $1,770

The feather hem the collaboration was built around, on a long-sleeved georgette mini.

6. Azra Coat, $4,420

For the coat: goat hair, feathers and tinsel in a zigzag, relaxed and oversized.

What the capsule tells you about the house

Capaldo chose the motifs a high-street shopper would recognise as 16Arlington from across the store, feathers, sequins, a satin sheen and the exaggerated collar, and that is a fair map of what the mainline is built on: 54 of the 211 pieces at Luxury Handbags carry feathers, 55 are sequinned and 67 are cut in satin. The capsule’s black, silver and chocolate palette is the mainline’s too, with 72 black pieces on the hub and chocolate running through the satin-and-lace set. What the capsule could not carry over is the construction: the tailored bust cups, the chiffon linings, the concealed zips and the hand-applied plumes that make the mainline pieces cost what they do.

The other collaboration

A fortnight after the M&S launch, 16Arlington showed 16 Looks with Antony Price, a made-to-order collection at the opposite end of the price scale, with Lily Allen walking in a velvet gown. The Antony Price guide covers it. Between the two sits the mainline, which is what the price guide and the where-to-buy guide describe.
