The 16Arlington Clio Top: Four Colourways, the Fit, and the Satin-and-Lace Set It Anchors
The 16Arlington Clio Top: Four Colourways, the Fit, and the Satin-and-Lace Set It Anchors
The Clio is 16Arlington’s satin camisole: Japanese satin with a crinkle texture, cut relaxed with a V-neck, scalloped lace inserted for definition and, on the black, hand-applied silver rivets. It is the piece the Spring/Summer 2026 satin-and-lace set is built around and the one people search for by name. Coveti has it in 5 colourways on 15 September 2026, from $830 to $1,020, all made in the United Kingdom apart from the black. This guide covers the shades, the fit, the set it belongs to and how to wear it.
The colourways
1. Clio Top in Chocolate, $830
Chocolate Japanese satin with scalloped lace interspersed across the body. The shade the set is shown in.
2. Clio Top in Lilac, $830
Lilac, the same cut, for the pastel set.
3. Clio Top in Pale Green, $830
Pale green, the same cut.
4. Clio Top in Black, $1,020
Black satin with scalloped lace inserts and hand-applied silver rivets on the front. The dressiest of the four.
Chocolate against black
The chocolate, lilac and pale green Clios are the same garment in three shades: crinkle satin, lace interspersed, no rivets, $830. The black is a different make, cut in Portugal with lace inserts and hand-applied silver rivets on the front, $1,020, and it reads as eveningwear where the others read as a slip. Buy the chocolate first if the set is the aim and the black first if the top will be worn under tailoring at night.
The cut
Relaxed through the body with a crinkle texture that drapes rather than clings, a V-neck framed by lace, thin straps. The satin is a nylon-and-elastane blend on the newer colours and gives a little; the lace is a stretch lace. It fits true to size on the UK 4 to 18 ladder; the model, 178 cm and a UK 8, wears it loose. It is opaque.
The set it belongs to
The Clio is one piece of a satin-and-lace family cut in the same shades. The Filipa cardigan has flared sleeves, scalloped lace and metal-tipped ties; the Ricci trouser is wide-legged with lace at the hem and an elasticated waist; the Elma shorts are the short version; the Fiorella shirt is the long, slightly sheer shirt; the Kena dress is the slip with chocolate plumes on carabiners at the hem. Chocolate, lilac and pale green run across the Clio, Filipa, Ricci and Elma; blush runs across the Fiorella. Worn together in one shade they make a set; split up, each works alone.
How to wear it
By day: under a blazer with straight denim, the Junia trouser for the house’s own version, and a flat shoe. By night: with the Ricci in the same shade and a heel, the Filipa open over it as a jacket. For a wedding: the lilac Clio with the lilac Ricci. Jewellery: silver with the lilac and green, gold with the chocolate, nothing with the black. The rivets on the black catch on knitwear, so wear it under woven cloth.
Clio against the other camisoles
The house cuts three camisoles. The Clio is the satin one, relaxed with lace inserts. The Poppy top is a black lace bralette camisole with a feathered hem, cropped, for the evening only. The Poppy camisole is white crepe with an ostrich-feather trim at the waist, loose and low-backed. The Clio is the only one of the three that works in daylight and the only one sold in four shades, which is why it anchors the set. For a sequin alternative at a similar price, the Elin cardigan in chocolate paillettes closes with front ties over a cropped bodice.
Care
Dry-clean. The crinkle is a permanent finish in the satin and survives cleaning; do not iron it flat. Store on a padded hanger to keep the straps from stretching.
